Security Essentials Screensaver Review
Security Essentials Screensaver
Microsoft has a very popular antivirus program called Security Essentials, which is very good at protecting your computer from viruses, spyware, and other malware. It is free to download and works on Windows 7, Vista, and XP. However, it is no longer updated.
The problem is that it uses a lot of your CPU power while you are using your computer, which is very bad for the performance of your system. That is where Security Screensaver comes in handy: it scans your PC every time you leave it idle, which means that your CPU usage will be significantly lower when you’re not working on your computer.
This screensaver is an application software download that you can use to protect your computer from malicious applications and other threats while it’s on standby. The screensaver runs in the background and updates the Microsoft Security Essentials database and performs a full system scan whenever you are not using your computer.
There are two different versions of this screensaver, and one can be set as your default screensaver by right-clicking on it and selecting “Set as Default”. It works on any PC running Windows XP or higher.
Another feature of this screensaver is that it can also run a quick scan when it’s on standby, which helps you to avoid having to wait for your system to boot up before a scan can be done. This is especially helpful for old computers, because it’s much better to have frequent scans than to have them only when you’re using your computer.
